On the Saturday of Mothers' Day weekend we hold our Hike for Life event. This family-friendly fundraiser is held at Heron Creek Forest Preserve. The event begins with a brief presentation of our ministry and a light breakfast is served. Hikers then follow a marked route of roughly three miles to complete the hike, and prizes donated by our generous sponsors and supporters are awarded to the top fundraisers. This is a great opportunity for you to invite friends and family to join in the support of Informed Choices. Informed Choices holds its largest fundraiser in October. Our Annual Banquet is an excellent opportunity to learn about the ministry, news of recent developments, Life Stories from our clients, and goals for the year ahead.
Please join us for an inspirational evening as we celebrate an amazing, challenging and blessed 30th year of ministry! Our guest speaker Eric Lerew will lead us in examining the sanctity of life from a broader perspective. How we can not only rescue the unborn but lead mothers, fathers, and entire families to experience abundant life in Christ.
Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers are available to fellowship with you and answer questions. For more information contact us or click below to register for the upcoming banquet.
By filling a baby bottle with loose change, cash and checks you help Informed Choices make a life-changing and life-saving difference in our community. A large and growing number of churches in both Lake and McHenry Counties participate in this program.
This fundraiser usually runs for a 4 week period and can easily begin on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday in January, or can be launched at any time throughout the year. If you would like to help us raise funds through our bottle campaign, please contact us for more details.
